2001 Ford Escort Q&A
2001 Ford Escort Question: stuck in park
Possibly. The brake light switch, which is mounted on the arm of the brake pedal up under the dash, could be faulty. The wiring connector that plugs into the switch could also have damage from overheating. Test and inspecct the switch and connector. You will find that this is a very likely cause of failure. - DaveJHM
