there is a cross shaped nut washer on the strut in the proccess of removing the shock form spring. what is the best way to remove that peace

    There is a special tool for removing this nut, and you need to hold the strut shaft with a torx bit. Without that tool, you can probably get it off with a pair of big pliers (channel lock or vise grip)
