repair shop says my strut bearings are bad. They were replaced in jan 2008 and I've driven about 16000mi since then. My question is,could they have gone bad that quickly?

MasterI have frequently replaced the top strut bearings on the Camry/Solara front struts but if they were properly installed and the struts are not damaged the top mounts should not fail in 16,000 miles or even 40 to 50,000 miles unless you are traveling on terrible roads!
