Question: stripped spark plug

 Rookie

as i was driving a spark plug blew out on the passenger side it also blew the cop how much would this cost to repair if the head had to be removed?

    if the head is coming off, replace the head. ford has tons of issues with this problem. we replace the head with either a used one from one of the major engine manufactures or a new head from ford.
    either option is not cheap.

    An approved solution as an alternative is having a qualified technician install new threads in the spark plug hole. Lock-n-stitch has approved spark plug thread inserts. This can be done possibly without cylinder head removal.
