My '05 TSX makes a short "whirring" noise occasionally. It will go for days, even weeks without doing it. Then it starts up again and sounds only when stopped, turning or going slowly. After a few days, the noise stops again?

Is the noise coming from the engine compartment or inside the car? If inside the car it could possibly be the heater fan under the dash board. If the noise is coming from the engine compartment. When you hear the noise park on level ground apply the hand brake and put in park. Lift the hood with the engine running and see if you can determine which side of the engine the noise is coming from. I suspect you have a fan belt that is making noise.

Mine made noises but it was the steering wheel column inside the car. It makes noise when I stop and turn the wheel, turn slowly while driving and it would come and go as well. I had them change it out like 5 times before they actually fixed the problem.

This has to do with a recall with the transmission or power steering, something. Regardless, the whirring and transmission fluid leak will be fixed by Acura due to the recall.
