You can probably get the switch at any parts store, or as a last resort the dealer. They are relatively easy to replace. Look under the dashboard above the brake pedal, it will mount so that the round end of the switch is up against the brake pedal lever.

Thank you for your reply. Both stop switches have been changed out but that did not fix the problem. Only one brake lite works. The light across the trunk of the car. The two lower ones still do not work. OnStar said the brake lites not working could cause the traction lite to stay on and the cruise control not to work. All fuses have been checked. When i press the "On" button for the cruise control, the indicator lite shows that it is on but it is not. OnStar gave me two codes: C-1294 and P-1574. Sometimes the "Check Electronics" message comes on when i first start the car. If I press the "Reset" button, it goes asway for the duration of the trip and the "Info" function works perfectly for the MPG, Oil Life Remaining, Outside Temperature, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you Roger
