1996 Audi A4 Quattro Question: still looking for the low pressure location

 Rookie

i am looking for the low pressure port on my audi a4 quattro i got an answer yesterday but it just leaves me at the same point
i just need to know the area i need to look if it is in side the hood or under the dash thank you

    It's going to be in the engine compartment, under the hood. Follow the A/C lines from the evaporator and it will lead you to the valve.

    i did but it is not there in any visible area do you know where exactly it may be?

    I don't know, I would have to look at it to know for sure. And this brings up a concern I have, If you're unable to locate the low pressure port you may not be qualified to be adding refrigerant to this system. Doing so improperly can damage the compressor and I see this occasionally from inexperienced people trying to do this.
    Sorry i can't help much more, just be careful and don't overcharge the system.

    The 1996 A4 did not have a low pressure port, what I did was install one, went to the junker cut one from another car, you need to cut the pipe like 1.5 inches both sides, then opened in the bottom and fitted on top of the pipe, mark the location discharge sistem, make a hole with a drill, get a piece of rubber pipe and fitted to the fitting to put on top of the pipe, make a little hole just where the new fitting will be, and clamped with 2 hose clamps one on each side of the fitting. recharge the sistem. done
