Do you experience this sound only on initial start up? If so I would suspect either the alternator or power steering belt is loose. Check the power steering resivior fluid level (looking in the engine compartment it is on the left side). The fluid level should not require frequent topping up, it is a sealed system. If frequent topping up is required there is a leak in the system that should be investigated. I have seen steering pump failure, high pressure hose failure and if the steering rack boots are allowed to be ripped and not replaced dirt can enter the rack damaging the steering rack seals allowing steering fluid to leak from either side of the steering rack.
