Rookie

There is a popping noise when I slightly turn the wheel fairly slowly. As in normal corrections while driving, the popping noise will occur. I do believe this is a pop, and not a squeak while turning as the squeak problem has been answered already. How to fix this? Thanks!

Usually the first thing to check is the stabilizer bar (sway bar) and the rebuild kit is fairly inexpensive $20 to $40 plus about an hours labor. But it could be any part of the front suspension that has worn out and should be inspected by a repair shop and you can locate one here www.repairpal.com/directory

Did you recently have your power steering worked on? A lot of the time when a shop replaces the steering rack or anything, air bubbles will get in. It's not a big deal, the popping should stop on its own if that is all that it is. If it continues, get it checked out by a mechanic.
