Question: Steering Gear Box

How do you take play out of steering gear box of a 98 Astro van

Tie rod, drag link, idler arm was inspected and check out good. This is the reason why I think the gear box has too much play

    The adjustment is usually a threaded screw/stud with a lock nut on the steering box. You need to be very careful adjusting this because if you make it too tight, the steering wheel will not go back to center correctly.
