Question: steering column making noise

 Rookie

Has anyone else had the problem of the steering column making a ticking noise. It cost me 600.00 to get it fixed because apparently it did not fall under the warranty. Did I miss a recall on this? I hope so.

    There are at least (3) things associated with a clicking noise in the steering column. (1) the clockspring located behind the steering wheel., (2) the upper steering column bearing which required the entire column assembly to be replaced (3) The steering wheel contacting the column covers or a component or wiring rubbing against the column underneath the instrument panel.
