Question: Steering Columb Squeeks

When i turn my steering wheel it sounds like a squeelings, squeekings noise. And an occasional whistle sound. Any thoughts?

    It depends on where the noise is coming from. Check the power steering fluid level and belt tension for starters, then determine where the noise is coming from. If it is from the steering column, then it will take a partial dis-assembly of the column to determine the cause. If it is from the engine area, then further diagnosis will be needed.

    Check the boot where the column goes through the fire wall,
    Spray a little silicone around opening.
