1998 Lincoln Continental Question: steering

When turning left or right there is a squeaking noise comming from the(I think) the steering column. It's fine once the turn is made.

    Good deal because the Repairpal estimator has the price at $278 to $340

    I just had to replace the tie-rods. This is what was causing the noise when turning. They have to replace them both because they have to aline it when their done. Cost was $ 250 at Sears.

    look at the power steering fluild. after that if it is full you probley need a new power steering pump
