starts then dies on 1990 Honda Civic

my car is multi port injected. now i can get the car to start and run really good for about 5 seconds then is idles down then dies any ideas?

The idle is controlled by an idle valve of some sort, I would look into the operation of that. Also, is there a check engine light on or any codes stored in the engine module?
