Question: starts but wont run

truck shut off after coming to a stop fuel pump runs fine truck acts like it is out of gas when it shuts off it wont start for about an hour and it will shut off while idling periodically

    if u have good fuel pressure when truck wont start check for spark when cranking, if u have spark check for injector pulse, if no spark pull off coil wire at dist cap and see if spark out of there if u have spark at coil wire but none at plugs problem is cap/rotor or wires, if no spark out of coil wire check for bad coil, ignition module, dist u will need a scope to check signals of module and dist.

    This vehicle has a TFI (thick film ignition) module that is mounted on the distributor. When these heat up, they can be more likely to fail. They cut out and do not allow restart. After they sit a bit, they work again. This is what I am guessing is wrong with your truck.
