1990 Ford Bronco Question: STARTING PROBLEM

MY 83 starts at times - and times it wont,BUT when it do'es when put in drive it stalls, please going carzy. -

Have you tuned this lately because just replacing the cap,rotor and spark plugs can make a big difference in performance and also if the carburetor is out of adjustment (air fuel mixture and idle adjustment screw ) the engine will not idle properly -

check the fuel filter. same exact thing happened to me and i replaced the filter and it fires up and stays running when i put it in gear -
