Starting Problem on 1996 Chevrolet 1500 Pickup

I just bought a starter for my 96 Chevrolet c1500 pickup, and for some reason its not starting up. It turns over and everything just not firing. Was wondering what else it could be to solve the problem? If you have any input on this i would gladly accept it as i can't figure it out.

The starters job is to turn the engine over, if that is happening, then the starter is OK. If the engine is turning over and not starting, then you have to check that the engine is getting fuel and ignition to the cylinders.
