Starter replacement- on 1997 Mitsubishi Diamante

My starter is dead. I need a new starter. i got the part number for it from the dealership. "mary dog 373 135" my question is...can i pull a starter from a different car? and what car???

That has been done for you at the salvage yard where you can get a used one. Give them the oe # and they can even cross to what they have.
