1996 Toyota Avalon Question: starter failed?

Worked fine yesterday, got in to day and all the lights, dash panel lights up fine....but when I turn the key, I get a series of rapid continuos clicking and the car wont turn over. -

Sounds more like the battery has failed or your battery cables are corroded or need cleaning and tightening, But I would say the battery is the first step because if it isn't fully charged you can't troubleshoot anything else until thats determined, AAA tow service has a battery service in some states or Any Napa, Sears Interstate batteries are great replacements.
