when first starting a humming sound underneath truck then winds down . is this the fuel pump. no problems just never paid attention to it

    yes its the feul pump priming the chambers

    unfortunatly that is not the problem... there is a fan located under the truck. It is used in emissions controls, and the sound you are hearing is the motor for the fan going bad... i had mine replaced 3 times before i said the hell with it. It clogs with mud, ice what ever and burns up.... thanks alot chevy
