1990 Chevrolet S10 Blazer Question: Stalling of vehicle ,Slow pickup speed and bad mpg . lack of power and poor mpg.

alway the same,popping through carburetor, lack of power on acceleration, slowly pickup speed if I let go of accelerator pedal out slowly. I get poor mpg about 10miles per gallon. are 4.3 bad on gas. thanks

    FYI - no carburetor here; you have fuel injection. I know what you are saying, though.

    I'm wondering if you have a restriction in your exhaust, like with your catalytic converter. I would recommend having your exhaust checked for a restriction.

    Either this or you could have a big vacuum leak somewhere at the engine - like an intake manifold gasket, or a vacuum line.

    Hi, My friend and thank you. Anyhow, I checked for a for vacuum leak but not thoroughly . I was getting about 16-18 psig not quite close too normal at idle . I think it should have been 20 psig. I'll check my cat, okay and hopefully that will be the problem. I really thankful for your help. God bless you, man. some other people think an egr is the problem, map , coolant and oxygen sensors and that a little bit of money for a poor man.
