, 2.0L 4 Cylinder, Fort Worth, TX, July 20, 2010, 22:13

I have gotten a/c and serpentine belt replaced and my car still has a horrible squeal. I don't know if it could be the crankshaft pulley and if it is that about how much would that cost to fix or replace. please help want the awful squealing to stop. thanks

After the engine has run I wonder if the belts need to be re tensioned. Ensure the belts are properly tensioned and ensure the belt pulleys run true and are aligned correctly.

My girlfriend had this problem with her Protege. It was the belts. The other garage couldn't figure out what was going on so we took it to the dealer. The dealer told us it was b/c the belts were not Mazada belts. All the dealer did to fix the problem was to put their belts on.
