Question: squeaking sound when turning the car

When I turn my cars steering wheel it squeaks.Just recently I turned the wheel to the left and not only did it squeak but it rumbled a bit and my car smelled shortly after.Is the problem my turning belt going?

    Looks like there is a power steering fluid leak. First you need to refill the reservoir and check where is the leak. Usually you need to lift up the car to get a good look at the P/S system.
