A squeak from the steering column is often related to a rubber boot in the column or a seal in the power steering rack.

Steering column squeaks when wheel is turned -
Squeak developed in the steering column when turning. Car drives - not very classy sounding, but I live with it. -
When I turn the steering wheel it squeaks -
