noise coming from rear end. might be axle bearings.are the bearings preased on can job be done at home.also does the rear gear come out in one peace. i have exper. with amer. type veh not to sure about toyo. thanks for your help . the zip

Remove brake backing plate and housing secured by four bolts. Withdraw axle and get a machine shop to press off axle bearing and retainer ring.
Labor time is about 2 hours.

Toyota axles use a 3rd member like a Ford 9", axles slide right out like autotechpat said. The trucks until recently have an 8" ring gear or 7.5" ring (2wd mini trucks). The Toy 8" is actually a pretty stout diff. good luck!
