1991 Chevrolet Lumina Question: sputtering or missing?

bayman, 3.1L V6, Salisbury, MD, March 21, 2009, 13:39

My Lumina Euro has started acting up.It starts ok but will start acting like a cylinder is not firing or something. While idling there is a vibration and it sounds like, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh(if that makes any sense) and also when accelerating. While accelerating it is slow getting up to speed and still the duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, only faster. Then all of a sudden it just starts running great. Lots of power. When I slow down a lot or come to a stop it starts the same process all over again.
The following parts are new. Throttle position sensor, idle air control valve, oxygen sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter, map sensor, egr valve. I do not think it is any of these.
Anybody have any ideas on this?

It sounds like you may have an engine misfire. This could be caused by the ignition system - plugs, wires, ignition coil, or ignition module. A misfire can also be caused by a faulty fuel injector. I would recommend to get the car into a good repair shop to find out exactly what the porblem is before trying any more parts.
