A 10 amp fuse sends power to the instrument cluster gauges and the vehicle speed sensor (VSS). The VSS wire should with ignition on have 12v @ red/blue wire, the white /violet wire is the wire that carries the generated frequency to the speedometer head in the instrument cluster. A scan tool in the diagnostic 16 pin socket under the dash will red Vehicle Speed as you drive in the data stream information to show the sensor is working, after that wires must be traced to the instrument cluster to see if the speedo head is defective.

have the same problem, removed the 10 amp fuse on the interior fuse panel, clean with 400 grit sandpaper and apply dielectric jell, pull 15 amp fuse under hood & clean and apply jell, pull 15 amp fuse 15 seconds so computer will reset.
    good luck
