SPEEDOMETER AND GAS GAUGE MALFUNCTION AT START-UP INTERMINABLY- AT START-UP THE GUAGES EITHER TURN-ON UNTIL SHUT-DOWN OF VEHICLE OR NOT AT ALL AT NEXT STAT-UP?

Visitor, July 01, 2010, 20:25Reply7-1-2010 Mine done this same thing and others I know of. I held a strong magnet on the plasic cover and moved the magnet over the needle in a counter clockwise position pulling the needle to the full mark. It actually worked. The key needs to be off so the needle is not trying to go upward in a clockwise position. I had to move the magnet several times, each time it moved the needle a little more. I fixed my friends Buick also.
