my speedometer is not working. i replaced the speed sensor and still nohing...any suggestions?

    What you need to do is take the cable out of the speed sensor. Put a drill on the drive cable. Have someone observe the speedometer when you turn the cable with the drill. Try forward or reverse. If the MPH needle doesn't move then it is either the speedo head or the drive cable. If it does register MPH then you have a problem with the drive or driven gear. The speed sensor is to tell the PCM the MPH. It's a shame you wasted your money. If you need further help contact me at swaths3644@mypacks.net

    Excuse me for my mistake. You still have a drive gear and driven gear. drive gear is attached to the speed sensor & the driven gear is in the trans. Again you need to rotate the end of the speed sensor with a drill and observe the speedometer. Of course with the key on.
