2004 Chevrolet Impala Question: speed omiter does not work

 Rookie

the speedomiter on my impala does not work. the needle doesnt move. is it a fuse problem or do i need to replace the cable? what do i need to do?

    I see 4 different transmission speed sensors for your car http://bit.ly/ghbAg go to page 6, Remember if the parts stores sell it, It's a common part that fails.

    This is very common on the 03-06 GMs. The cause is the motors behind the gauges are failing, they all go out eventually. You can get it repaired here - www.drspeedometer.com and there's a DIY guide here - www.howtorepairmyinstrumentcluster.com
