2006 Chrysler Town & Country

Question: Spark plugs breaking in cylinder head.

Question

Van has 46000 miles. Brought the van in for some warranty work and they recommended a tune-up, then the mechanic broke off spark plug in cylinder head. Now he wants to charge $291 to fix it. Anyone know how often a tune-up and spark plu replacement is recommended by the manufacturer? Thanks in advance.

Depending on plugs they need replaced at either 30k or 60k intervals. Because the spark plug replacement is maintenance then they will try to charge you. Find out if the plugs supplied inthe motor from factory are 60k plugs and if so I would argue that the problem is warranty and not on your shoulders. If are 30k plugs then you may have to eat it. Sorry.
