Question: Spark plug pops out

 Rookie

This is an 89 Z-24 Cavalier. The spark plug pops out with the wire, now it won't stay in at all. In the early 90's my ex bought a part at the auto store that fit right into the engine and the spark plug into that. Do they still have that and where would we find it? Any special tools involved?

    There are several tread repair kits available, the most common would be a "helicoil". Repairing the spark plug hole on your 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier using a helicoil will require a special helicoil repair kit. Depending on which cylinder head is damaged the repair could be fairly stright froward or very difficult. Thread repair kits should be available from your local parts supplier or your can check online, one possible source would be - www.autozone.com.
