2007 Nissan Versa Q&A

2007 Nissan Versa Question: sometimes takes longer to start than normal.

Sometimes it takes longer than usual to start the car, especially when the air conditioner was on before shutting off the car. It doesn't do this all the time, but it is annoying. What's the problem and can it be fixed? -

You need to have an Engine Computer scan, and a cold and warm fuel pressure test. I would also recommend a Check Engine Light Diagnosis. Here is an article I recently constructed that explains what is involved. This type of stuff gets repaired everyday in my shop, if you go to a good Diagnostic shop, they can take care of this. http://repairpal.com/check-engine-light-diagnosis http://repairpal.com/directory?address=37922&car_brand_names=Nissan -

I had this problem, took it in to the dealership, and they fixed it on a recall warranty. Said it was a failing check valve in the fuel line. Actually has nothing to do with your AC, just the temperature outside. When it's really hot, the valve deforms a bit, allowing the gas to bleed back down into the tank, making it difficult to turn over the engine. (have to crank for a while). At least that's what they told me. Hope that helps -
