i stopped and got gas the other night, and when i went to leave the van wouldn't start. the next day it started right up, i went ahead and changed the fuel filter, when i was done with that it turned over a few times then started (expectedly). it is getting gas in the throttle body, most of the time anyway. the times it don't start there is no gas coming from the injectors. could it be the injectors, or the fuel pump?

Really need to check several things. This could be a defective pick-up coil inside the distributor etc, or a bad fuel pump relay etc. These things control the on-off function of the fuel pump. Typically when a fuel pump goes out, it just fails, it is USUALLY not intermittent.
