2002 Chrysler Concorde Question: Solonoid replaced Jerking

8-19-09 Car engine light came on, I slowed for a stop & then with the shift it jerked. continued home and only able to drive in low gear. Next day took it to Wayne's garage it only jerked in low gear. $700.oo for new solonoid and the car continues to jerk into gear nearly every time, and a pause excelerate into all the gears. Took car back and was told that the computer needs time to adjust to my driving and it may take up to 300 miles before it does. Week later I took it back and told them the problem is not solved. Next day I was told that they replaced the solonoid. Nothing has changed with the car. They refused to write up a work order the last time I was there. I had checked the odometer 2x when leaving the car. When the car was picked up after 2x they had driven it 36 miles. I had told them the worst jerking is between 10 and 0 MPH. I was shocked that they drove it 36 miles and said it was fixed. The jerking or pausing is something my car never did until now. It apparently is not the Solonoid causing the problem. Please advise.

    Can you provide us with the diagnostic trouble codes that they retrieved from the transmission control module?

    Go to Autozone or your local car parts store. They should have a free diagnostic for you when your check engine light is on. On my 2002 Concorde.. I had the wxact same conditions.. I needed to replace the O2 sensor and while I was at it, replaced a hose. It was an issue with the sensors as well as a vacuum leak.

    not sure the codes.. but I had just gone through the same thing... car would jerk while going about 30mph or when let off the accelerator... the rpms would puls between 1 and 1.5 ... the car started to die while at red lights.... replaced all 4 O2 sensors, Map Sensor and somehow the manifold vacuum tube came up completely missing... had to go to goodyear to order the part cuz even chrysler seemed to not know of this hose that runs from a nipple at 12 o'clock pointing up to the left side of the manifold pointing straight left. Went through 3 chrysler parts store..... so had to pay the 89 buck diag. from goodyear so they could order the $5 dollar hose and install it. Thought about rigging my own hose, but wold prob have issues down the road due to the awkward bend.. just check those ;) compare it with the whole 3 pics of a chrysler engine you can find online.. the hose is present in all 3 models.... 300M, LX and LXI. hope that helps....
