Question: smelling burning of oil bad smell from engine

hi i smell from my engine car when its hot a bad smell like burning and i fell the engine is hot, they told me its the head gasket koz of leaking oil in exhaust its true????

    There are many things that can cause abnormal odor, burning oil, coolant or too much fuel. You can have oil or coolant burning on the exhaust system, or even a plastic bag that got stuck on there from when driving.
    I would get a second opinion before condemning a head gasket issue.

    The smell of burning oil may be from your val cover gasket is leaking oil, and when the engin heats up it's burns the leaking oil. check to see if your val cover gasket is leaking, one on each side.
