My car has slow acceleration. No trouble shifting, no smoking from engine, and no shaking of the car. Just takes a while to get up to speed.

1996 Chrysler Sebring Question: slow acceleration
Answer #1Visitor, June 28, 2010, 11:33
potential problems with compression in cylinders, had o-rings replaced and my acceleration picked right up, take it to a machine shop and they can test the compression.

I'm glad that somebody brought this up. I have an '08 honda civic si that's been experiencing inconsistent levels of acceleration. Any rough estimates as to how much materials and labor cost to replace o-rings on 4 cylinders?
