A part in the rear latch of the sliding door is worn and blocks the pin from entering the latch properly when closing. How do I remove and replace the rear latch? The three hex screws are easy to remove, but it is not obvious how to remove the old latch and add a new one.

You will have to open the sliding door, remove the trim panel, remove the rod links to the latch and remove the latch assy. Also, check alignment of the door to make sure the door is not sagging at the rear and adjust a necessary.
