Shuts off on 2004 Ford Explorer

When driving my truck it shuts off sometimes why?

Could be a variety of reasons, very difficult to guess without being able to at least carry out some basic test, If I gt a problem like this I tape a fuel pressure gauge to the windscreen, put a timing light on a spark plug wire, bring a volt meter, wiring diagram, and portable oscilloscope with me. When the car stops running I can instantly see if the problem is fuel or spark related and narrow down my diagnostic tests.
