About a week ago the Check Engine Soon light came on. A computer check of my vehicle revealed the codes PO500 Vehicle Speed Sensor A; PO325 Knock Sensor Circuit 1 Bank 1 and PO600 Serial Communications Link. #1: What is the vehicle speed sensor; #2: Are these problems something that need to be fixed right away and if so is there an estimated cost for these repairs with a vehicle that is no longer under a maintenance agreement.

Repairs can vary based on the type of parts used. Also, the markup on those parts.

speed sensor is not something right away. 325 is a ghost code. it will disapear when the others are fixed. the serial one concerns me as it may be a failed pcm. thats the one that needs to be checked by a shop to see if in fact it is a problem
