my avenger died and would not fire, I changed the spark plug's and wires and distributor cap but forgot to change the rotor. should I take it all back off and change the rotor before I try to start my car?
should I take distributor cap back off and change the rotor on 1999 Dodge Avenger
new rotor would be good. do you have spark and fuel pressure?
I'm not sure if it is firing. Before I try to start it, I am just going to go buy a new rotor and replace it. Hopefully that will work

Try the timing belt if it snapped it could have bent your rods and pistons causing it not to fire
