Question: Should I replace the cam seals and crank seals when I replace the timing belt?

One mechanic told me not to if they r not leaking and if I did they would start to leak.

    How many miles on car? If you have over 100,000 yes you should replace them. I wouldn't listen to that mechanic anymore. If the seals are removed and replaced properly it should be good as new.

    If you plan on keeping the car I would replace the timing belt, seals, tensioners and water pump. Oil pump seal on those also leak with time and is easy to replace when changing the t/belt.
