I just bought 2010 Toyota Corolla yesterday. While I was in the finance department, the salesman kept telling me about all of the possible electronical problems that the corolla could have and that it was silly of me to not add on this protection plan. I've been researching to see what common electrical problems occur and if this protection plan is even worth it. Most people are telling me to not buy it. Is there worth in a "blanket" protection plan on electronic cars?

Any electrical problems will be covered under Toyota's Warranty anyway, why buy double insurance. If you don't trust the sales man call Toyota North America's customer service number 800-331-4331 and ask them what is covered in there standard new car warranty and how long the car is covered. Dealers get commission on the extended warrantys they sell.
