I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse gt spyder automatic with 139,500 miles. When I start driving, the first shift is good, the second shift is a little jerkish. If you know that you have the correct transmission fluid, then I think you may need to get a diagnosis at a transmission shop. There are too many variables for me to know what to think without inspecting your car myself. Transmission shifts fine until check engine light comes on then will not shift into high or low. It stays in the gear that it is in at that time. Might run for a mile or 10 miles before it does it.
