Question: shifter sticking in park. What is the problem?

I have to yank on the shifter alot of times to get it out of park. Why is this happening?

    Many vehicles have a shift lock mechanism that is "un-locked" when you depress the brake pedal, is it possible it is related to this feature?

    Happened to me and it was a blown fuse - operated the turn signals and rear brake lights

    Needs a new shifter.. Shifter is programed to the car

    theres a pin in consel by shifter dissamble it pull pin out it freezes up in unit eathe oil it up and put back in or just keeped removed bbut it will u shifter no move with no key in it.. just lock u doors
