Question: Shift Mode not working!

I'm not able to use the manual shifter side of the transmission. When I move the shifter over to the left, nothing happens. But my automatic side is working properly. What could be causing this?

    Generally this is caused by a fault in the gear shift module. Often these have to be replaced, ( I have done one a Mercedes) and then reprogrammed. It can be pricey.
