It is roughly 6 degrees out, lots of ice and snow and salt - which has built up around the bottom of my van. I only drive maybe 3-4 miles a day to work and only drive surface streets, and with the weather, have been going slower than usual...so like 20-30 mph. Today, midway all the "service" lights came on, the steering seemed looser, I had to slow down so I wouldn't slide, but it was driveable, just felt like the camero I had when I was a kid! I just recently had an oil change (1 wk ago), had new brakes done (July) and I think they rotate the tires. I read about sensors going bad causing the abs light and wondering what the chances are that a good car wash and wheel wash (I did drive roughly 4 hours north and back 3 times this summer and once last weekend in the snow without really ever doing more than driving through a $3 car wash)....I'm a single mom and can't afford hundreds of dollars at the dealer! Please help.

you need to have a reputible shop with proper abs scan equipment look at the vehicle, should not run you more than $35.00 for proper diagnosis.

I have the SAME Issue!... and so do a lot of others. Probably bad front hub assembly! I'd start there.
