You are experiencing a misfire in your engine. You want to avoid driving the vehicle while the Engine light is flashing, you can cause damage to the catalytic converter $$!
This may or may not be related to the trac light issue, but either way, you'll need to have this looked at by a competent repair shop, and soon.

You should get a diagnostic machine and pull out the codes so it could pin point the problem

this is a problem that i have beenlooking into myself... but i found the answer your oil is probably pretty crappy .... you should run a cleaner through it first maybe once or twice giving it a new jug of oil each time... unplug the battery for ten mins.... and your light and sputter should go away.... drive it for a few miles ... if it comes back on ... no biggie... you now need to change your oil control valve.... there are two of them ,one on bank 1 and one on bank2... yhis is very easy.... anyone can do it ... i strongly suggest getting one off a wrecked lexus ... and not buying from a dealer... it will cost you like 250 for two from them.... i got mine both for fifty bucks.,, probably could have got it cheaper... it takes like 5 mins to do one..... make sure you wiggle it out and dont break the part off in your engine,,, before you do any of this make sure your car is truly not misfireing .... by this i mean check your coils and spark plugs... if they are okay then do the oil cleaner and oil control valve ......
