First a thanks to Wilsonite for answering my first question about what to do about the "Service Engine Soon" light on my dashboard. I took the car to Auto Zone and used the handheld diagnostic tool. The reply was "PASS - No Trouble Codes Detected". The guy behind the counter said there's a way to reset the warning light to turn it off. Is that what I should do and, if so, does anyone know how to do it? Thanks.
"Service Engine Soon" Dash Light Illuminated on 2003 Saturn Vue

The check engine light on your 2003 Saturn Vue must be reset using a scan tool or code reader which has reset capabilities. "The Service Engine Soon" light will turn itself off after 40 drive cycles when the system which causes the fault in the first place passes its functional test. A drive cycle is defined as follows: Starting the engine, driving until the computer runs the functional test for the fault code stored, turning the engine off. You have no way of knowing when the computer has run the functional test for the system that turned your light on in the first place so there is no way to say how long you will need to drive your Saturn before the light will go off on its own.
My car runs great but the "Service Engine Soon" warnig light just came on. I'm wondering if any other Saturn Vue owners have had this problem and what they found out was the cause. Thanks for you...
