If the vehicle will not crank over, the most common problem is the starter, which tend to fail at about 100,00-125,000 miles. Sometimes it is only the starter solenoid contacts, but often the complete starter (including solenoid) needs to be replaced.

if your starter wont turn over just lightly knock your starter body to loosen the solenoid. then try to start your van.make sure you have good battery too.
Starting when this vehicle was 3 years old, it periodically will not start - no sound, no turn over of any sort. This never occurs with a cold start. Tends to occur when vehicle is warm and/or after it has been parked on a hot day. Impossible to re-create at a shop. Replacing part #8591030050, a RELAY ASSY, CIRCUIT seemed to help for a few years. Generally after the vehicle has sat for 1 - 3 hours it will start normally.
My toyota previa no started motor starter gooda alternator good battery good close and open door well
starts then won't . Starts then won't .
Occasionally van won't start - engine won't turn over - no sound, etc. Then after about half an hour it will consistently start. This has only occurred while driving in the mountains on about 100 mile trips and once on a 25 minute highway drive. The last time, tapping the starter made it work (apparent cause). I am going to take out the starter and have it tested (I have a remanufactured one, with the cold climate option, waiting for me at the parts store. Seems the same situation as amentioned in a previous post.
